What happened that day?
On April 23, 2010 at dawn, we find a story that we were saddened to the core: a short circuit had caused a fire, damaging much of the house. The dining room was damaged and burned, a lot of clothes "Caritas" was also burned, and all perishable foods that were broken, despite being stored in cupboards, due to carbon monoxide. More than 100 kids who eat breakfast and lunch daily at home, could no longer do so and had to leave to seek help from families and partners.

Upping the Ante!
Suffered fire did not stop us but we were encouraged to redouble the bet! Reset all the damaged areas with great effort and the generosity of people who came to help. Parents, children and families, were immediately put to work cleaning, painting and repairing the damage left by the fire.
Many thanks to all those who helped us in those moments and those who are doing it every day! But we still have much to do and better! The needs are becoming more and more and more kids come to our house to ask for help. Therefore, we turn to you to become part of this dream of building a fairer people, solidarity and opportunities for all.
